Thyroid surgery (thyroidectomy)
I perform it when there are nodules suspicious for cancer, a confirmed diagnosis or, in some cases, hyperthyroidism. Also for large goiters causing discomfort or compression. It requires great precision, planning and close follow-up.
Thyroidectomy with lymph node removal
When thyroid cancer has spread to the lymph nodes of the neck, I perform a more extensive surgery to remove the involved areas and reduce the risk of recurrence.
Parathyroid surgery
When the parathyroid glands develop adenomas or hyperplasia, they can raise blood calcium and affect bones, kidneys and other organs. This surgery restores balance and prevents complications.
Radioguided surgery for recurrent lesions
If you have had previous thyroid cancer surgery and it recurs, I use radiotracers to mark the lesions and remove them with greater precision, even in scarred areas or altered anatomy.
Intraoperative neuromonitoring
In some cases I use a laryngeal nerve monitoring system during surgery to protect voice function and make the operation safer.
Radiofrequency nodule ablation
